As a co-founder of New Urban West, Stephen served as President for over 20 years and maintains an active leadership role in the company he helped to create, overseeing residential, commercial and office development. Prior to New Urban West, he was President of The Boss Group, Los Angeles. Stephen is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley Law School and formerly served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of California.


One of the co-founders and principals of New Urban West, Glenn continues to play a vital role in defining the company’s vision and strategic objectives. He has held high-level positions throughout the building industry, including President of the Los Angeles/Ventura Chapter of the Building Industry Association (BIA), President of the Governmental Affairs Council for the BIA of Southern California, and he has served as a board member for HomeAid America. Glenn was previously President and Chief Operating Officer of Leisure Technology Corporation, and spent seven years as Vice President of Marketing Design at the Donald L. Bren Company where he was responsible for all product development.


Michael joined New Urban West in 1988. He is a Chartered Accountant (Canada), and as a longtime chief financial officer, Michael has responsibility for the financial positioning of New Urban West. Previously, he spent nearly two decades with the Cadillac Fairview Corporation in various senior financial and development positions in Toronto, South Florida and Southern California.


Having joined New Urban West in 1983, Tom has been responsible for the planning and entitlements for thousands of homes in planned communities throughout Southern California. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Planning with a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning. Over the years, Tom has been appointed to numerous positions in state and local government, including Legislative Assistant in the California State Senate, Chief Planner of the South Central Regional Coastal Commission and Senior Planner for the County of Ventura.



Adam earned his degree in Economics/Business from the University of California, Los Angeles and began working with New Urban West in 1987. Utilizing his training and experience, Adam founded and was President of Second Street Ventures, Inc., an urban residential and commercial development company in Los Angeles, from 2003 to 2008. He returned to New Urban West in 2008 and is responsible for identifying new investment opportunities, finding and securing financing, as well as directing and overseeing all areas of strategic planning for New Urban West’s ongoing ventures. Adam’s involvements at New Urban West and Second Street Ventures have exposed him to all aspects of residential and commercial development.


Jason is responsible for identifying new investment opportunities and oversees all aspects of execution, including: acquisition, entitlements, project development, construction, sales and marketing for projects in the San Diego area. Prior to joining New Urban West, Jason was with Ernst & Young/Kenneth Leventhal, consulting for national builders and developers. He also operated his own development-consulting firm. Jason holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California and an MDS in Real Estate and Urban Development from Harvard University.


While being involved in the development of each project, Alex is also responsible for identifying new investment opportunities and supporting the CFO and President in executing the firm’s strategy and financial positioning.  Prior to joining New Urban West, Alex was a Vice President at Wells Fargo Bank in the Los Angeles Commercial Real Estate lending group.  Alex began his career working with DTN Management, a multi-family operator and developer based in Michigan.  Alex earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Michigan State University. He went on to earn his MBA degree as well as his Master in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.


Jonathan manages the processing of complex project entitlements including tentative and final subdivision maps, environmental impact reports (EIR), resource agency permits, coastal development permits, general plan amendments, zone changes and annexations. He is also responsible for the development and execution of community outreach strategy and regularly engages elected officials, community leaders and residents to garner support for project applications. Jonathan is a licensed attorney, graduating cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law. He formerly served as a legislative aide in the California State Senate and in various roles in State, Local and Regional government.
