The Trails at Carmel Mountain Ranch

The Trails is a modern vision for a connected community.

Converted from a closed golf course, the new community joins existing neighborhoods through a focus on connectivity, sustainability and inclusivity.

The plan includes 1,200 apartments, townhomes, and flats for San Diego's families and working professionals (including 10% for deed-restricted Affordable units) to park their cars and get connected on foot or cycle to the 70% preserved open space, including 6 miles of trails, 8 acres of parks, central plaza for farmers markets, food trucks, and concerts in the park.

Within walking and biking distance to Rapid Transit, large employment center, schools, retail, recreation, this infill project bridges the gap between suburban and urban living.

New Urban West has really set the bar extremely high. This is a model of how a developer and his team should work with the community. In fact, you may even want to give training lessons. This is one of the best designed projects that I have ever seen. This is a high quality project and there is no question in my mind it’ll be a huge asset to this area.
